I received my juicer as ordered. It came with a demonstration Dvd which I believe was very helpful in understanding the machine and the multiple things it can do. I proceeded to juicing some fruits and vegetables. It is much easier than my single gear juicer that I had. I no longer have to cut everything into bite size pieces before juicing. the parts take more time to clean compared to my old juicer. I tried without success to remove the carrot stain from the white machine and the parts. I regret that they did not offer a variety of colors to choose from until I received the brochure that showed the juicer in multiple colors. I would have gotten the red instead of the white. But if you do not mind carrot stain on your unit, then its fine. I had to apply some pressure to the plunger to get the carrots down. I finally fiqured a way to aim the carrot precisely between the two gears to allow the gears to pull the carrots and other items down. The quality of the juice is noticable different from my old juicer. There was minimal to no froth on the top of the juice. I have been through several juicers personally from J'man jr. to single gear masticators to champions and finally to this. The price was much lower than I saw advertised elsewhere but it's still expensive. I'm not bursting with joy yet but I'll see.

Cuisinart Cj-200pc Citrus Pro Juicer Review

I purchased this but had to return it. In order to move the adjustable spout either up or down, it was necessary to also touch the rim of the juicer in order to keep the whole thing from moving around; the slightest touch would send it spinning, throwing juice everywhere . . what a mess. I had to unplug it every time I wanted to snap the spout open or closed, in order to keep the machine from turning on and spraying whatever juice was already in it--too much trouble!

Victorio VKP1012 Hand Operated Grain Mill Review

Victorio VKP1012 Hand Operated Grain Mill

I bought this product so that I could grind small amounts of flour from less common whole grains for breadmaking and emergency preparedness purposes.
The grinder is very simple to put together and fairly easy to use. Be aware that you may have to tighten the clamp occasionally as you use the grinder, but it is not difficult to do. I wouldn't attempt to grind large amounts of flour at a time unless you want your arms to hurt, but it is perfect for grinding a few cups at a time for a recipe- and kids love to help out!
Also, while the coarseness of the flour can be varied, but it will not produce a superfine (cake) flour.

Dr. Weil's Healthy Kitchen 9816 1000-Watt 2-Speed Professional Juicer Review

Firstly, I have had no mechanical issues with my juicer and use it about every day. I use beets, carrots, apples, oranges and all get turned into delicious juice! I almost never have to use the high setting and find the motor to be very powerful and find it very easy to clean, dis-assemble. The only minor gripe would be that the pulp can sometimes collect at the top of the resevoir. I like that it feels very stable, is very solid and has suction cups to hold it in place. It is very powerful, makes great juice and I'm all the healthier for it!

From The Healthy Kitchen line developed by Dr. Andrew Weil, this powerful 800-watt juice extractor produces healthy great-tasting juice in no time. Its extra-wide feed tube makes cutting most fruits and vegetables unnecessary. Using the molded plastic pusher, simply push whole fruits and vegetables down the feed tube and into the stainless-steel micro-mesh filter basket with the circular fine-tooth blade. Set the speed control to the low setting for soft fruits and vegetables or to the high speed for firmer produce. After extracting juice the first time, the machine's auto-feed function extracts additional juice a second time around for 15-percent more juice extraction--up to 82 percent for apples. The unit provides a 40-ounce plastic cup that fits under the spout for catching juice during processing. Other highlights include auto-pulp ejection, a large sturdy plastic container for collecting pulp, a heavy-gauge plastic lid that fits over the filter basket and pulp container, and a heavy-duty locking metal arm for safety. A Harvard-graduate, Andrew Weil, MD has devoted over 30 years to providing a unique approach to health care, encompassing body, mind, and spirit. Manufactured by Spring Switzerland, the juice extractor measures 15 by 10 by 18 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty. A two-sided soft bristle brush for cleaning and an instruction book with recipes come included.

Fox Run 2 In 1 Lemon and Lime Juicer Review

Fox Run 2 In 1 Lemon and Lime Juicer
Average Reviews:

I bought this item as a gift for my cousin, and asked him for his reaction after using it. Here are his comments:
"I'd give it a three, or maybe a three and a half stars.
It needs to be redesigned so that one doesn't have to apply so much energy to squeeze. I can use just my fingers to squeeze a lemon or a lime, and get probably as much juice. But then I have to scoop out the seeds myself. This squeezer does keep the seeds inside, to be disposed of afterwards.
And I think that there should have been some instructions on which way to put in the lemon or the lime. Even just a picture would do.
Well, I wonder how one would design one that is easy to squeeze. Maybe with a longer handle. (But who would want such a big contraption in the kitchen?) Still, with lots of inventive minds out there, maybe some one can come up with something really innovative.
So, definitely a convenience. I'll be using mine in the future to squeeze lemons and limes."

Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender, Chopper and Ice Crusher More Powerful & 2x Faster Review

Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender, Chopper and Ice Crusher More Powerful and 2x Faster
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this chopper a couple of months ago. What I intended to buy the Ninja for has been great, so I will rate it on that. I will also review the issues I have with it.
I bought the Ninja to replace my small chopper. I absolutely love the double blade system, because it chops things very consistently; which was the reason I replaced my old chopper. I did not buy this to replace a blender OR a food processor, the `blender' was just an added bonus.
When chopping small things, it has been fabulous! My old chopper, like Ninja's spokesperson claims, turned the bottom food to mush, while the top food is still unchopped. With the Ninja, as long as I `pulse' as the instructions recommend, it works great. I've noticed, though, if I push down the power and leave it down, (usually when I'm in a hurry) I end up with the same results as my old chopper, so the key really is to `pulse'.
When it comes to ease of use, the Ninja is not:
-The motor on top is too big and bulky: My old chopper was a hand held immersion blender/chopper, so the handheld motor was interchangeable with the wand and the chopper bowl. If I needed to add other ingredients or push the contents down with a spoon, I could grab the motor (attached to the lid) with one hand and have the spoon or contents in my other hand to add. With the Ninja, I have to pull the motor off with both hands (because it is so bulky) then pry the lid off with both hands (because of the suction) then I can add the stuff. But then I have to realign the motor back onto the lid, sometimes it goes on easily, sometimes it doesn't (if you get easily frustrated with things, this isn't the system for you).
-The blade shaft goes directly into the motor, instead of the motor attaching to a lid: This `seems' like it would work fine, until you fill the bowl and the contents get on the shaft of the blades; which will inevitably happen because the blades have to be in place before you can add the contents. With my old chopper, I added the blade, then the lid had a gear that fit with the blade shaft, and the motor was geared with the lid. So, if I got yogurt or any sort of slop on the blade shaft, it would be on the lid, which could be thrown into the dishwasher. With the Ninja, the blade goes directly into the motor. So, after you fill the bowl with food, you need to make sure you wipe the shaft of the blade off, before it goes into the motor, because you can't put the motor in the dishwasher, and unless you wrap the end of something very slender with a wet rag, you won't get the slop out of the motor...especially in the little cracks.
-The blades take up all the room: Once you have your blades set in the bowl, the stuff you add has to be small enough to fall in around the blades. So, you have to pre-chop before putting it in the chopper, which sort of defeats the purpose of the chopper in the first place (unless you're a really slow chopper like me, then it's perfect)!
As far as the `blender' feature, I wasn't all that impressed. Since it is winter time, I haven't had a need for blended or shaved ice (I can get that in the yard), so I can't rate how well it blends ice. I did, however, try to blend a pot of soup into bisque, and it didn't turn out very smooth at all. I ended up using my immersion blender to finish it. I noticed another reviewer mentioned that you have to keep moving the ice around, to get the smooth shaved ice. That's what I had to do with my soup. I thought with three blades, it would move the contents around enough to blend it up, but it didn't, even when pulsing. I ran into the same problem when trying to make faux mashed potatoes out of cauliflower (gotta try everything with picky eaters). The cauliflower was cut into bite sized pieces and steamed before it was put into the blender. When I was blending it, it was just `stirring' it all together, instead of `blending' it. I had to keep taking off the lid and pushing the cauliflower down with a spoon to get it to `blend'. It finally did `blend' but with much poking and prodding, I will probably just use the immersion blender next time, less hassle.
I also need to point out, when I first got my Ninja, I was getting ready to use it and my father in law pulled out the blades to look at them. I didn't notice how they were put back in the bowl, but they fit in and looked right, and it was the first time I used it. It made a god-awful racket, and it wasn't chopping anything. I took the motor off, and saw plastic shavings on the top of the lid. My husband came and flipped the second blade over and it worked fine. Since the blade and the motor gears were stripped, we took it back to the store, and I decided to get another one. The new one has worked fine (as long as the blades are in correctly) but I'm a little weary as to how long they will last this time.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a blender or food processor, I would look somewhere else. It is a very good chopper, but for the price, I think next time, I'll stick with the immersion blender/chopper. I think Shark missed their demographic...it isn't powerful enough or versatile enough to replace the food processor or blender, yet it's too bulky and meaty for a regular chopper.

Enjoy delicious s'mores indoors with this easy-to-use contraption--no need to wait until summertime camping trips or gathering with friends around a bonfire at the beach. The nostalgia created with these sweet treats can now be savored any time of year and from the convenience of home. Simply fill the reservoir with water, assemble one or two s'mores on the tray by stacking a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow in between two graham-cracker squares, lower the arms to hold in place, and microwave for up to 30 seconds. The heated water allows the graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate to heat evenly, while the arms prevent the marshmallows from over expanding and overcooking, giving the chocolate time to melt. Be careful when removing the s'more maker from the microwave as the water is hot and can spill. The innovative unit creates consistently perfect s'mores--crisp graham crackers neatly holding together soft marshmallow and melted chocolate. A fun addition to sleep overs or birthday parties, the s'more maker measures approximately 7-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 4 inches and cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher.
