(More customer reviews)I switched to a rotary sifter years ago after taking it to the face from those sifters with the metal loop and I couldn't be happier.
But:
-The wire mesh is woven and dries slower than a cast mesh because of the extended wire interface.
-It can take a good number of sifts after the hopper is empty to get rid of everything.
-Handle stride is short and takes more presses that optimum.
-Handle is small and generally can only hold 3 fingers.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product so that I could grind small amounts of flour from less common whole grains for breadmaking and emergency preparedness purposes.
The grinder is very simple to put together and fairly easy to use. Be aware that you may have to tighten the clamp occasionally as you use the grinder, but it is not difficult to do. I wouldn't attempt to grind large amounts of flour at a time unless you want your arms to hurt, but it is perfect for grinding a few cups at a time for a recipe- and kids love to help out!
Also, while the coarseness of the flour can be varied, but it will not produce a superfine (cake) flour.
