West Bend 6200 Hi-Rise Rotary Belgian Waffle Maker Review

West Bend 6200 Hi-Rise Rotary Belgian Waffle Maker
Average Reviews:

The main reason I purchased this waffle maker was that the description implied that the waffle plates were removable. They are not removable, and so you can only clean the waffle maker with a damp cloth.
"Dishwasher-safe drip tray and nonstick plates"
(I already have a waffle iron that I got fed up with because it was so difficult to keep the plates clean - at this point it isn't possible to get a waffle out because of how sticky everything is. Trying to fix that with a damp cloth is a nightmare.) I would have gotten a waffle maker that had more reviews (like Oster 3874 Flip Nonstick Belgian Waffle Maker) but I'd hoped I had found one with removable plates. I may return this one so I can get something I'm more sure of, so I haven't used it yet. I'll update this review with my results later.

Norpro Stainless Steel Wide-Mouth Funnel Review

Norpro Stainless Steel Wide-Mouth Funnel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this funnel because I pour hot soup, spaghetti, stew, and other messy foods into a Thermos Stainless Food Jar W/ Folding Spoon 16oz twice a day. My conventional funnel is easily clogged, and neatly pouring hot soup directly from a pot into a thermos is a challenge. Pouring the soup from a pot into a large measuring cup and then into the thermos wasn't much better, as the broth splashed out of the thermos whenever a chunk of meat or vegetable fell in.
My husband purchased this wide-mouth funnel and the spilling and splashing was instantly eliminated. This is the first time that I haven't had to clean soup from the counter or the outside of a thermos food jar! Highly recommended for a tidy kitchen and to reduce the stress of packing hot, homemade meals to go.

Proctor Silex 66332 Juicit Citrus Juicer Review

Proctor Silex 66332 Juicit Citrus Juicer
Average Reviews:

I don't think you can find a better, easier to use citrus juicer at any price. It's gone up a couple of bucks since I bought mine, but it is still the best deal available without question.
It's fast, stable on the counter, converts to a serving pitcher when you're done juicing, and it's absolutely a cinch to clean up. I can't think of anything Proctor Silex could do to improve this product.
If you're in the market for a citrus juicer (and fresh-squeezed is so far superior to anything you can buy in the grocery store) you can't do better than this one. Buy it.

Hamilton Beach 67800H Juice Extractor Review

Hamilton Beach 67800H Juice Extractor
Average Reviews:

My old reliable juicer crapped out on me one afternoon in the middle of juicing...had the poor dear for nearly 15 years and it cost only $50, back in the day!
Anyway...I popped into the local Wal-mart and found this one. Thought it would be okay (great price $30) but have cursed the day since.
My pulp to juice ratio is very high. My old juicer would squeeze every ounce of fluid from 4 small apples...with this one I had to juice 10 large red delicious just to get CLOSE to the output from my old machine.
And the pulp, OY, the pulp! I use a glass, half gallon container and, I kid you not, the pulp takes up well over HALF of the container.
I have reached the point of having to clean out the strainer after each fruit/veggie I juice, to make sure the fluid flows properly. AND I've taken to squeezing the pulp in the basket and other parts through cheese cloth just to get the right amount of juice I should be getting.
SO...it takes a long time to extract what used to take 20 minutes (including clean-up). To get 2 full quarts of juice is now taking me a full hour (including cleanup)! Not just from having to clean and squeeze but also from having to cut the fruits and veggies down to a size the machine feeder can handle. So I cut apples (small red delicious) into quarters...then the quarters into eighths...just to fit into the blasted feeder!
Lastly, the power button is a switch. Which means to turn it on you have to push the switch up, by applying force to the bottom of a small lip. I have to place my left hand on top of the juicer to keep it on the counter and apply force onto the switch with my right hand to turn the rummy thing on! Why not make it a button Hamilton Beach, why?
I am now in the market for a new machine...after only three weeks.
Stay away from this contraption!

Factory Reconditioned Cuisinart CCJ-100FR Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless Steel Review

Factory Reconditioned Cuisinart CCJ-100FR Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless Steel

I don't know why some people don't like this item. I picked a bunch of oranges just finished "juicing" about two gallons orange juice without a hitch. Once you understand what this item is designed to do and you don't try to do more... like juicing a watermelon then it's GREAT! I think the main problem some people have is this thing has torque and if you try to grind on it, it will spin. I've seen the videos and read the negative comments. Come on guys, read the instructions and use some common sense! How many hands and how much pressure do you need to juice half an orange. Let the machine do it's job. If starts to move then hold on to the base with your free hand. Oh, and make sure you put the cord through the little notch in the base and it sits flush. This thing also has a auto-reversing feature that is trick but what I really like about this item is the "washing machine spin". Talk about getting every last drop. Some people don't like pulp, I like pulp... it's an ORANGE! Jeese guys, this is as fresh as your going to get. Juice, pulp, seeds, core, bugs, and what ever else in that orange will get "juiced" and end up in your glass. This is as fresh and natural and you can get. You don't like pulp... tough. Some people whine about the spout, it's a spout, get a small glass under it (I used a 2 cup measuring glass) and catch the juice! Yes it will clog up after about a cup or two, it's called "PULP". Clean it out and get back to juicing. Some people complain about too many parts to clean, all three (3) of them... get a life. Heck, I like this item so much and at such a great price I'm going to order two more just because I can. I don't know of another citrus juicer out there with this auto-reversing and spin feature for $12.00 refurbished.

Enjoy freshly squeezed juice from citrus fruits with this automatic juicer. The unit's auto-reversing reamer extracts juice from the smallest lime or the largest grapefruit, while its unique fast-spin function removes more juice from pulp. An unlimited amount of juice can be delivered directly into a container through the appliance's anti-drip spout. For added convenience, the spout snaps up into a locked position to interrupt the juice flow as needed. Housed in durable plastic with a sleek black and brushed stainless-steel design, the appliance provides a modern look to any countertop, plus its cord storage helps keep surfaces looking neat and tidy. Even more, dishwasher-safe parts make cleanup a snap, and a clear plastic dust cover comes included to protect the juicing cone. The citrus juicer measures approximately 6-1/5 by 6 by 11 inches.
Editor's note: This is a remanufactured small appliance. Remanufactured generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who returns the appliance to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes.
