Norpro Bamboo Citrus Reamer Review

Norpro Bamboo Citrus Reamer
Average Reviews:

Maybe it's just because it's brand new. Maybe it's because it's bamboo instead of whatever kind of wood most of them are. Maybe it's because my last one was plastic, and the wooden ones are better. Or maybe I was just so happy to receive a new one after several months of not having one. Whatever the case, this thing is an absolute pleasure to use. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to juice small-to-medium amounts of citrus.

This reamer really gets all the juice out of each lemon and the design makes it easy to use. It is gentler on my wrist joint than the typical manual table juicer. Feels solid, lightweight, well-made and a breeze to clean too! The merchant delivered the item on time and as described.

Culinary Accessories - Lemon Reamer, Wood Review

I have had a plastice one with the built in strainer for years...and must admit I hated it, but didn't know why...IT was to smooth and slippery to really grab the flesh. Especially for the produce we get in Alaska, you really have to work for your juice, be from limes, lemons or any other citrus. Things are just not quite as fresh as they are in the states. This reamer rips right through these tough limes and lemons with hardly any effort. WHAT A RELIEF this tool is! I even did my own product test between the old and new with the same batch of limes...I was able to get nearly twice as much juice in less than half the time. If you like to use fresh citrus in your cooking and bartending, but don't want the commitment of a "juicer"...this is a wonderful, easy to store tool.

Zak Designs Citrus Hand Reamer Review

Zak Designs Citrus Hand Reamer

love this citrus juicer. it works absolutely great for juicing limes or lemons by hand.
the design of the juicer part is such that it just tears through the fruit and juices it beautifully in seconds - and by 'tear' i don't mean you get big chunks or anything, just that it works fast and is very effective. quite remarkable actually.
and the handle is oversized and gives you a really good grip. that helps a lot with juicing.
great for making drinks or cooking. works especially well for limes cause there are no seeds. with lemons, you need to watch for seeds.
i also love the bright color.

Stainless Steel Citrus Juicer /Reamer Review

Stainless Steel Citrus Juicer /Reamer
Average Reviews:

If you only occasionally need to juice a lemon, lime or orange, this is the tool to get. It's compact and yet does the job. If the cost is too high, get a wood version. Most of those other hand held juicers don't get any more of the juice out and make just as big a mess. By that I mean you need to do the operation over a bowl. A nice 1 qt Pyrex mearsuring bowl is perfect as you can pour the juice out when you are done.
If you own a lemon, orange or lime tree and want juice every morning, or if you have tunnel carpel syndrome, or arthritis, skip this tool. But if you are healthy you'll have no trouble at all getting all the juice out.
If you don't want the pulp, run the juice through a hand strainer when you pour it out. I like pulp in my lemonaid and orange juice so this is my prefered tool. And best of all,its inexpensive and it stores easily in the junk drawer and doesn't take up any of my counter space.

HIC Stainless Steel Lemon Reamer Review

I had a wooden reamer before this, and although I diligently cleaned it after each use, it started turning black after a few months. This one is awesome! Cleans like a whiz because it is stainless steel and I can almost double the juice I get from half a lemon by using it.
A great buy!

The citrus reamer arrived earlier than expected. Very happy with purchase and as it's from the Holy Land, it means that much more. Also, it is a very functional kitchen tool and works wonderfully getting all the juice out of the lemon.

Joseph Joseph Catcher, Citrus Reamer, Green Review

Joseph Joseph Catcher, Citrus Reamer, Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use a reamer quite often and it's either a fishing expedition for seeds or trying to pick them out before. Once you use this, you wonder why nobody thought of this before now! It is light but sturdy. It does take one try to get it right if you are on automatic pilot with your regular wooden reamer to make sure you don't have the seeds fall into the salad bowl. But then it becomes second nature.

I saw the Joseph Joseph line in Macy's just before Thanksgiving. I purchased the Citrus Reamer from Amazon for several family members. It was a hit. Even better I got to use the product in making some cocktails that called for lemon juice. It worked great. To avoid the seeds from falling into the dish or bowl you need to watch how you hold it but other than that a good kitchen tool!

Chef's Planet Citrus Juicer White Review

Chef's Planet Citrus Juicer White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been juicing lemons a lot lately, and I had a little 3 part gadget that had a bottom, a middle piece that had the pointed juicer part, and strainer to catch seeds, and then a rounded top that you would use to push the fruit down on to the juicer. It only worked OK, and was a pain to clean. Then I saw a Cooks Illustrated How To cookbook, and they talk about techniques they try and like, and the best method they found for juicing was a manual one(theirs was wood), so I started looking for one, and found this. I have used it several times since, and it is amazing! The juice just pours out! I love the round handle, very comfortable in my palm. I just use a small strainer over my measuring cup to catch any seeds. This is really easy to clean, too!
Edit to add update - now that I have had this a few months and used it a lot, I have to reiterate how great this is! I saw a wooden one in a home store, and I picked it up to test the hand feel, and it was nowhere near as comfortable in my hand, I am so glad I found this one!

OXO Good Grips Wooden Reamer Review

OXO Good Grips Wooden Reamer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is by far the best way to juice citrus fruits. Its especially good if you have arthritis or repetative stress injury that makes using the old fashion hand juicers harder. Of course, you could try using electric juicers, but they can be a pain to wash after your done (like any juicer). I strongly prefer this method over all that I have used.
